Made In L.A. Part 2

I think that forever 21 is the blame because the should know where the clothes they pay for are made from and I just slapped away the case like they really don't care. If no immigrant people worked for sweat shops they would run out of business. You think that a person who went to school and got a degree they would be willing to work for three dollars per hour! Nope they would have no one to make anything.

Made In L.A Part 1

1. How is the life of sweatshop workers in L.A. the same as those in Indonesia? How is it different?
I think its different because living conditions are a little bit better than in Indonesia.

2. Why is it that poor immigrants (newcomers) end up working at sweatshops? Why don’t they work as lawyers or doctors or at McDonald's?
Immigrants end up working at sweat shops because they don't have any citizenship papers and most jobs require those papers so the job that doesn't require and papers and no experience is sweat shops.

3. Predict what’s going to happen by the end of this movie
I think that at the end of this movie all the workers for Forever 21 Will have made a difference in working together and not being afraid that they would be deported or go to jail. Showing other immigrants in the same position that they shouldn't be afraid that they have a voice and can speak up.

Behing The Swoosh Part 1

1. What does it mean to “make a decent living”? What should you be able to afford to buy?
You should be able to afford clothes,sneaker, going to the hospital, and basic stuff.

2. Where do your sneakers come from? Who makes them?
I think sneaker are made in a factory somewhere in the world.

3. What is a sweatshop (take a guess, even if you have no idea)?
I think a sweat shop is a place where children have to work as child labor.

Alien Conversation


Alien: Hello Earthling.  Thank you for conversing with me.

You: Your welcome 

Alien:  May I ask you a few questions?

You:  Of course!

Alien: I have never been to earth before, can you tell me a little bit about it?  What are some beautiful and interesting places I should visit?

You: Earth is a very interesting planet. You can visit so many places like the zoo, parks, the statue of liberty, it really is fascinating. 

You:  What is your planet like?

Alien:My planet is covered in snow but if you go to the other side it's all covered in lava. It's a really wonderful place.

Alien:  You humans seem like you’re very angry with each other.  I watched people walk down the street and most people didn’t even look at each other!  Why is that?

You: On earth we don't to people we don't know. Sometimes we may smile but that's it.

You:  What’s it like on your planet when you walk around?

Alien: Oh everybody knows everybody on my planet.

Alien:  Why does your home country go to war with other countries?

You: My home country went to war because we fight for what we believe in. We don't let people stomp on us without a reason. If they want something from us they have to go through all of us.

Alien:  It seems to me that what you call “marshmallows” are the best thing to eat on your planet.  Why do you not eat these every day?

You: We don't eat it everyday because marshmallows cost money and some of us don't have that money.

You:  What do you eat on your planet?

Alien: We eat raw lava rocks and live two headed snow snakes.

Alien:  It seems to me that you do not treat earth very well.  I see people throwing their trash on the ground, cutting down forests, and burning dirty coal to make electricity.  Why do humans not care about earth? Is anyone doing anything about it?

You: Some people are ignorant and don't seem to care. Some people are trying to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We try to spread the word but some people pretend not to hear anything

Interviewing Nicole

  1-  What information and images are OK to post? What’s not OK to post?

 I think that the pictures shouldn't  posted are pictures that will make you regret posting them for everybody to see. Also pictures like naked pictures.
pictures that I think are happy moments, like your family or things you love.

  2- Have you ever posted something online that embarrassed you or got you into trouble?

 I have never posted anything that could embarrassed me online. Because I think that if you wouldn't do it in real life you shouldn't do it online.

  3- Is there any way to guarantee complete privacy when you post things online?
    
   I think that there isn't any way to have complete privacy online because the makers of the website see everything you post. So it isn't private

  4- How might things you post online affect your future?
   
   I think that what you post affect your future by for example because people tell think before you do something like post naked pictures. Sure years will pass but that will always be a part of your life and that will never change.

Pitbull Fighting


Pitbull fighting is wrong. These dogs don't deserve to live such a horrible life. They are just like
any other dog with a bad history. Pitbulls are looked on as monsters but who are the monsters here
the dogs or the dog fighters? think about that. Dogs are like children. The way you raise them is the
way they act. Many people own pitbulls and they act like any other dogs. To have a dog you don't
need money or a fancy car. If you give him your heart he'll give you yours............

Piercings

  The most interesting parts of this documentary is when they showed all the piercings that people can get. It's shocking that people would pierce their bodies like that.                                                                                                                                                                                                                        1. the three reasons people pierce their bodies is because i think they feel they can express their way through changing their bodies. another reason is that people think that piercings are cool. Also think that some teens use it as a way to rebel against their parents.                                                   2. I think that if a person that has a small sized earring that it won't say nothing about them but if they get those huge piercings i would think that they are crazy.                                                                              3. I do think they they are such things as too many piercings. A person that get piercing all over there bodies is wayyyyy to much.

Doña Bárbara

The story of Doña Bárbara a very tragic story.  Doña Bárbara was  women with a terrifying past. At age Fifteen she fell in love with one of her dads employees. She never told her father so they snuck out at night. One night they were out by he fathers boat and 4 of his employees were drunk and shot the only man that she loved,But that's not all they also killed her father and kept his families riches. That night when she heard the gun shot she started to run but they were quick they caught up to her. They all grabbed her kicking and screaming. They tortured her they whipped her, ripped up her clothes and all four of them raped her and kept all her dads money. In the morning she woke up and thought it was all a dream but then she saw all the men that raped her spread around her drunk but then another one of her dads employees "Bruja" The called her. She took Barbara in and Cured all of her cuts but the damage was done inside. Barbara wouldn't eat or speak for months. After she was cured She became la Deboradora de hombres. Every guy wanted her and she played with all of them but her heart was made of stone she hated everybody but then there came a Luzardo she toyed with him and she did all that at age 15. After being with him she got pregnant but she said that she could never love anyone or anything until she killed all four men that killed her. So when the baby was born she told her servant to dump her in the forest along with her father. The servant did as he was told but he couldn't leave that baby and her father alone in the depths of the forest. After 15 years came another Luzardo. Santos Luzardo came to the town to recover his fathers land. He grew up a lawyer. When he got there all he could hear was story's about Doña Barbara. After a while of being there he found out his father's best friend was in the forest. He goes to find him but a lot of things have changed. He finds his uncle passed out drunk and then finds Marsiella a fifteen year old little girl scared and was all dirty. She couldn't even speak right. She told him that her mother was La Doña. Santos helps her by getting her clean but after a while he starts to fall in love with her but then starts to fall in love with her mother. So the fight starts. Mother against Daughter. Find out who wins in Doña Barbara................

put my neck through the loop. I close me eyes and jump
